JOB DETAILS:

Programmer/ Database Analyst Dominion Homes Media (a division of Dominion Enterprises) has an immediate need for an Administrative Systems Programmer/ Database Analyst. This challenging opportunity is for candidates desiring to join a company where growth, promotion, great people and teamwork are all a part of our success. This terrific opportunity is for highly motivated individuals who will ensure that all incoming data is integrated into our applications smoothly and that data issues are addressed and resolved quickly using programming tools within SQL Server.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Write reports using SQL Report Services for our service and billing applications • Manage the daily SQL DBA tasks including creating user logins, scheduling backups, scheduling and optimizing stored procedures • Investigate data quality issues within the database as well as raw data sources and re-run imports as necessary with the appropriate modifications • Run ad hoc queries and reports using basic SQL statements • Document all data integration methods when implemented • Work with other staff to add, maintain, troubleshoot or expand hardware and connections for our service and billing applications • Maintain the SQL software for these applications • Be responsible for additional duties related to the development and operation of our systems, as required by management EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: • 2+ years experience writing queries & stored procedures in TSQL in a SQL Server environment • 1+ years experience with C#, .NET programming • Experience with SQL Reporting Services – administration and report creation • Experience working with financial data • Experience with Great Plains Dynamics a plus • Experience with MS CRM a plus • Knowledge of SQL 2005 Additional Requirements/Skills: • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Solid organizational and time management skills • Self-motivated and pro-active • Attention to detail crucial • Strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities • Ability to work in a team environment and take direction We offer a dynamic, fun environment, excellent growth opportunities, competitive earnings, and a comprehensive benefits package including tuition reimbursement and 401k.
